Why choose Affreschi & Affreschi
Behind the scenes of how each A&A project is born.
Admire our artisans’ skilled hands bringing to life wallpapers created with a special materic mixture which makes the wall unique.
100% HAND MADE
Every day, our skilled craftsmen create customized bases, designed according to the specific requests of each customer. They are finished by hand with care and skill so that the reproduced designs emerge in all their beauty.
The mixture is composed of 27 high-quality raw materials, including lime, Carrara marble grains, and Roman Travertine, a mixture of natural elements with a long, all-Italian history.
The final effect is that of a real wall only 1 mm thick that rolls up without crumbling
An important aspect of wall coverings is the white color of its cross-section, visible along the joints.
To prevent this defect from being noticed, we color the cross-section, too. Installers really appreciate this when the wall is not perfectly flat.
CORRECTION OF IMPERFECTIONS
A common defect of digital reproductions is the inevitable misalignment between the various panels. In our workshop, a fundamental step in the production phases is the verification of the alignment of the image along the joints. Our technicians meticulously inspect all the panels that make up each design before they are shipped, placing them side by side. If micro misalignments are found, thanks to the natural and opaque surface of the plaster, our artists can retouch the design by hand to create continuity, softness, and integrity to the final image.
DESIGN
Our exclusive walls are brought to life by the creativity and experience of our team of expert graphic designers who create the designs on a project, manipulating the image components, and adjusting the colors. Each request made by our customers is managed and processed by a specialized graphic department. Because each item is made to measure, we adapt the division of dimensions in relation to the selected design and the structure of the wall (presence of doors, windows, furnishings, etc.).
Before the final completion of the project and printing, a few details of the personalized design are reproduced in real scale and compared with what the customer ordered.
ECO-SUSTAINABLE
Plaster wall coverings help create a healthy living environment, thanks to their composition using raw materials with zero VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) emissions.
COLORS
All the colors used to make our designs have GREENGUARD certification, issued to products that improve air quality. This makes them suitable for use even in sensitive environments, such as restaurants, schools, and healthcare facilities.
ACOUSTIC ABSORPTION
With their porous structure, rich in materials that promote sound absorption, our wall designs reduce the reflection of sound waves and are tested in a reverberation chamber in accordance with UNI EN ISO 354: 2003.
FIRE RESISTANT
The plaster wall covering is Class B certified, the highest performance for a wall covering in accordance with EN ISO 11925-2, EN 13501, and EN13823.
THERMAL RESISTANCE
The 1 mm thickness and raw materials used ensures that our frescoes have an excellent thermal resistance (at the same level as fir paneling), certified in accordance with EN 12667 and EN 12664.

Frequently Asked Questions
You need: vinyl glue, plastic spatulas, 1 measuring tape, 1 level, 1 cutter, 1 roll of paper tape, 1 paintbrush, 1 brush, 2 scales.
- CLEAN THE WALL:
Make sure the wall is smooth and free of defects.
- IF THE FRESCO CONSISTS OF SEVERAL PANELS, FOLLOW THE DESIGN FOUND IN THE PACKAGE:
Follow the assembly scheme of the product found in the box. The numbering of the panels indicates the order to follow for the exact layout of the design.
- APPLY A WALL FIXATIVE:
For an optimal and long-lasting result, applying a wall fixative will improve the adherence of the product and its application on the wall;
- DRAW PLUMB LINES:
To align the panels well, draw plumb lines, starting with the central panel and continuing with the side panels;
- DILUTE AND APPLY THE GLUE:
Dilute the glue included in the package with cold water, stirring quickly. Then apply it on the portion that will house the central panel, considering that if the room temperature is too high, the glue could dry quickly.
- FIRST APPLY THE CENTRAL PANEL AND THEN THE SIDE PANELS:
Always starting from the central panel, unroll the fresco from top to bottom, pressing with cylinder and spatula: this will better adhere the design to the wall and avoid the creation of air bubbles. Before laying the second panel, then, put some tape along the edges and proceed to apply the glue for laying the side panels, taking care not to put any near the edges. Using the same procedure from bottom to top, finally apply the other panels. After laying, move the sheets, if necessary, so that the design matches.
- CHECK THAT NO AIR BUBBLES HAVE BEEN CREATED:
During installation, project a spotlight onto the surface to rule out air bubbles. If not, remove them using the spatula or the tip of a knife. If the cause of the air bubble is the absence of glue, simply inject it with a syringe.
